Privacy Policy

Effective: April 29, 2026 · Last updated: April 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Plan Your Homestead (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information when you visit planyourhomestead.com (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Introduction

The Site is operated by Cole Stubblefield, doing business as Plan Your Homestead (“we”). We are the data controller for personal information collected through the Site. You can reach us at stubblefieldsolutions@gmail.com.

This policy applies only to the Site. It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or products that we link to or that you reach by clicking advertisements or affiliate links. Those third parties have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide directly

We do not currently operate a user account system, comment system, or active newsletter. The primary way you provide information to us is by emailing us at the address above. When you do, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, and any information you choose to include.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically by us and by the third-party services described in Section 5. This typically includes:

  • IP address and approximate location derived from it
  • Browser type and version, operating system, device type, and screen size
  • Pages viewed, time spent on pages, links clicked, and referring URL
  • Date and time of access
  • Cookies and similar identifiers (described in Section 4)

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its content
  • Measure traffic, understand which pages and tools are most useful, and diagnose technical problems
  • Display advertising, including ads personalized based on your interests
  • Respond to inquiries you send us by email
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

4. Cookies & tracking technologies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We and our third-party partners use cookies and similar technologies (such as web beacons, pixels, and local storage) for the following purposes:

  • Essential. Required for the Site to function (for example, to remember your cookie preferences).
  • Analytics. Help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. See “Google Analytics” in Section 5.
  • Advertising. Used by us and by advertising partners to deliver and measure ads, including personalized ads. See “Google AdSense” in Section 5.

You can control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from many participating companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance at aboutads.info/choices and, in Europe, through youronlinechoices.eu. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site functions.

5. Third-party services we use

Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to serve advertisements on the Site. Google is a third-party vendor that uses cookies — including the DoubleClick DART cookie — to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and to other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and review Google’s advertising policies at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Third-party advertising vendors and ad networks other than Google may also serve ads on the Site through Google’s ad platform. Each of those partners has its own privacy practices.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics collects information such as IP address (truncated where supported), pages viewed, time on page, and device and browser details. This data helps us measure traffic and improve content.

You can prevent Google Analytics from using your information by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Google’s privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Amazon Associates

As an Amazon Associate, Plan Your Homestead earns from qualifying purchases. Some links on the Site are affiliate links to products on Amazon. If you click such a link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

When you click an affiliate link, Amazon and its partners may set cookies and collect information about your visit. That activity is governed by Amazon’s privacy policies, available at Amazon Privacy Notice. We only receive aggregated reports about commissions earned; we do not receive identifying information about who clicked.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described in this policy, namely:

  • With the third-party service providers listed in Section 5, who process information on our behalf or independently (in the case of advertising partners) under their own privacy practices.
  • When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Plan Your Homestead, our visitors, or others.
  • In connection with a business transfer (such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets), in which case the recipient will be bound by this policy or notify you of changes.

We note that under California law (see Section 8), some advertising activity — such as sharing identifiers with Google AdSense to enable cross-context behavioral advertising — may be considered “sharing” or “selling” even though no money changes hands.

7. Your rights — GDPR (EEA / UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent UK law give you certain rights. Our lawful bases for processing your information are:

  • Legitimate interests — for analytics, site security, and responding to inquiries.
  • Consent — for personalized advertising and any non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation — where we must process information to comply with the law.

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Receive your information in a portable format
  • Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority

Some of our service providers (including Google) are based in the United States. When your information is transferred outside the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at stubblefieldsolutions@gmail.com.

8. Your rights — California (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, “CCPA”), gives you the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share
  • The right to request deletion of your personal information
  • The right to correct inaccurate personal information
  • The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising
  • The right to be free from discrimination for exercising your rights

In the past twelve months, we have collected the following categories of personal information described in CCPA: identifiers (such as IP address and online identifiers), internet or other electronic network activity (such as browsing activity on the Site), and inferences drawn from these to deliver advertising. We collect this information from your interaction with the Site and from cookies set by our third-party partners.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. Because we use Google AdSense to display personalized advertising, some of our processing may qualify as “sharing” under the CCPA. To opt out, you can:

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of California residents under sixteen (16) years of age.

9. Children’s privacy (COPPA)

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under thirteen (13) years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at stubblefieldsolutions@gmail.com and we will promptly delete it.

10. Data retention & security

We retain information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Analytics data is retained according to the default retention period set in Google Analytics. Email correspondence is retained as long as needed to respond and follow up.

The Site is served over HTTPS, and we use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will provide a more prominent notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
